This weekend is one of my favorite weekends in Oakland: the annual Greek festival.
The Greek Orthodox Church in the area hosts a festival every year where they put up a bunch of booths and sell ALL the Greek food. They have souvlaki, spanakopita, moussaka, lamb shanks, rice pilaf, gyros, frappe, calamari, Nagasaki, haloumi…
We got one of almost everything, and as part of the festival, if you buy foods from certain stands you can get stamps- and stamps from all five stations mean you get a free bowl of loukoumades!
My belly is full, so I wanted to share some of my highlights here π
